We have become through no fault but our own a society of Spectacle. We live to work to sell to buy to live to work to sell to buy... a vicious circle in perpetual decay, obstructing our minds.
The Spectacle infiltrates and distracts, the Spectacle is more than just the goods we consume, it is the way we experience life. Television, film, the media and Internet all serve to further our distraction from what is real and what we imagine could be.
